Management
During the lifetime of Shri Samarth, his chief disciples expressed their inability to manage the Sansthan after the lifetime of Shri Samarth and hence Shree Samarth himself ordered that the Son of his revered elder brother Shri Gangadhar Suryaji Thosar alias Shresth Gangadhar Swami should be coronated as the head of the Sansthan.
However, after Shri Samarth’s passing, his disciples were unable to bring Shri Samarth’s nephew from Jamb, the birthplace of Shri Samarth to Sajjangad due to the then unstable political environment. Hence for 28 years after Shri Samarth’s departure, his disciples Akkabai and Uddhav Swami efficiently managed Sajjangad and the Sansthan.
Finally as per the wishes of Shri Samarth, Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj, the grandson of Chhatrapati Shri Shivaji Maharaj, brought Shresth Gangadhar Swami’s grandson Shri Gangadhar Ramji Thosar from Jamb to Sajjangad and he was ceremoniously coronated as the head of the Ramdasi order (Sampradaya) and Sansthan.
Since then, the head of the Sansthan has been a person of Shri Samarth’s lineage. Hon’ble District Judge of Satara has prepared the scheme for the management of the Sansthan. As per the scheme, Hon’ble District Judge appoints trustees for 6 years. In order to run the affairs of the Sansthan properly, provisions of the scheme such as annual budget, audited accounts and annual report submission to Hon’ble District Judge and Charity Commissioner are complied with.
